Colombiapictures I see they list 1.870 elephant tusks as cargo. Where did they get them? I know there are no elephants in Brazil.

Likely from Asia to the west coast of SA (the tusks), like Chinese porcelain and other similar goods.

Lots of trade between Africa and Brazil, including slave trade. Most of the gold and diamonds was dug up by slaves from Africa.
