Thanks for posting as I live in CT so it's not too far away. Love how the archies like to put their $0.02 in...

Let's see....

A group of guys spend over FIFTEEN years...getting the training, equipment, and experience needed to safely conduct an expedition to a sight that NO ACADEMIC has so much as expressed an interest in...UNTIL...

these guys spend years and tens of thousands of $'s to research, investigate and coordinate an exploration that very possibly confirms a historical wrecksight...and all the archies can do is scream " they took historic artifacts of the wreck"!! ....a few bottles to help commemorate and document the sight.... and reiterate the academic position that NO ONE...who is not a professional arche should touch the remains....

Of course...the archies would NEVER have bothered to express an interest in the sight due to politics, funding, this, that, or the other excuse after excuse after excuse.

(&*ck em.....they are worthless as logical human being's imo...they are in the business of IMPEDING history...not exploring it.

Well done to the crew of the Petrel...

Great story. It just shows what a group of determined amateurs can accomplish with hard work and research. (And boy can those hang charts be valuable!!!).
