Santa Maria Madre de Deus

Good day all,
my name is Patrick, I am German but I live and work in South Africa.
One of my greatest passion is wreck diving, and here in the Eastern Cape at the "Wild Coast"
we lots of wrecks. I am interested in the history of the Portuguese ship (Carrack) Santa Maria Madre de Deus,
sank at the Wild Coast 1643.
I can not find any information's about that ship via google.
Please can someone help me to find/search in the right forums for information's, build where, dimensions, crew, came from sailing to where, cargo ?

Many thanks and kind regards...
Paddy

Welcome to T-Net Paddy. I can't help you with any info about that particular wreck, but there are many knowledgable folks on this site who may be able to help you out. Good luck with your research!

You wont find it online. And whatever Gillian Vernon wrote, I pretty much doubt that the Bonza Bay wreckage is from that naveta...
