15th Century Wooden Shipwreck in Asia

What would a wooden shipwreck from the 14th-15th Century look like when it is first discovered. Would it even look remotely like a shipwreck or would it just basically look like a mound of dirt? Does anyone have any underwater pictures of what it would look like. Also how identifiable would it be with a sidescan sonar. I am looking for something in fairly deep waters, sandy bottom, with frequent typoons, 150+ wooden boat.

Just curious what clues and cues I could use to try to find a more valuable areas to start more in depth searches. Pictures of similar wrecks might help.

    Thanks,
