Eva was the fiance of the chef aboard the Polly L, a wonderful person and a very experienced diver. She will be missed.

Diver found dead off Juno Beach
Palm Beach Post Staff Report
Saturday, August 30, 2008

A diver who disappeared off the coast of Juno Beach on Friday was found dead this afternoon, authorities said. Eva Schwartz, 51, of Jupiter was found in about 100 feet of water near where she disappeared after diving off the Blue Tang charter boat. Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating her death.

Schwartz had been diving with her fiance and a friend near the Juno Beach pier when Schwartz never resurfaced, prompting a search by the sheriff's office and U.S. Coast Guard.

Very sad. Lynn, as I expressed in my email, condolences. That is the same area we are working and on a typical day, the current is 4 knots, sometimes 6-7k. Combine that with the depth, maybe getting narked or possible equipment failure, etc...and you can see what could happen.

HIO LYN LUV: I am sorry to hear of any death, but since we all die eventually - except me - one should always be grateful that she passed on doing what she loved best. Most of us are not that fortunate.
