Rethinking leg set up. Math calculated the weight of just water in the system I devised to be in the neighborhood of 263#. Should start building this month!!!!

Add inheader box and bazooka weight and you are looking at ~300#. Switching to a heavier stand type set up with steel legs instead of aluminum legs attatched to the sides of box and sluice like I planned originally.

So, I finally have the header box done with exception of the pump hose attachments so I did a crude mock up. Lets see if I can download the pictures. All that is left is hose attachments and build the stand.

Will have fully adjustable stand for height/angle manipulation. Water will enter from bottom of the boxed in area and be focused down the header box so hopefully it will create a stream-like effect. Sluice and header box are not attatched by anything other than friction and a weather strip foam seal to close any gaps. Fingers crossed and getting the fever bad now.

Very curious myself to see how this does.
It looks like your on the right track with this
Full flow into both upper platform and lower fluid bed chamber.
And going with he bigger pump would be the safer route allowing more flexibility and water control.

I almost want to see a cover on the header box as well.
with as much water that you will be pumping down into the trap, I could see water splashing up over the sides as it hits the opening of the BGT.
With a cover on the Header box (removable of course), all water is focused/forced down into the BGT. bottom, sides, and top.
This I think, would help with pressuring the fluid bed portion as well as keeping a good flow over the grizzlies.
But of course wait and see what the water does first after you get the pump.

2 more cents for you
And your stand will last for ever!! That is a stout stand for sure.

Kudos to you CrisinCO
