If you mix an old recycle "wheelie" bin, some homemade angle iron, a few dozen rivets, a couple of feet of scrap 3/4 pvc pipe, a smear of silicon sealer (roof and gutter) , a piece of birdcage and 24 hrs toil this is what can result ....Garbzook...its longer thinner brother is a drop riffle i made a couple of weeks ago...damn i think i have the fever

Nice. How did you make the drop riffle sluice? Any other photos of it?

all done on my router table but you could use a table saw and get the same result...the timber is 3/4 " x 36" x 7" wide and is 3"deep sides, some of the riffles are a little thin so i will modify them next time it rainsand i will take more shots then of the side profile. gonna go get the garbzook wet today to see how it performs

well i went out yesterday and did about 4 buckets.set the drop riffle up next to my test hole and run a bucket there and then went further downstream and tried setting the garbzook up but there wasnt enuf flow in the creek.unfortunately gonna have to rebuild the drop riff. as i slipped on a bedrock outcrop and busted the base (it was only crappy pine ).sniped some of the bedrock cracks to see if anything there as well havent panned the cons yet
