4000 gph 12v pump with A-52 keene sluice w/header box

I was just wondering if this pump will be big enough to pump water thru sluice. I was using a 2000gph and just didn't seem like there was enough water flow to carry material off without a descent slope. I can use all the help as possible. Where I go there really isn't enough water flow from stream to charge up box.

take your pump apart and check to see if theres a screen/filter in it that's partially clogged up!

2000 gph is not enough do you have two of them? minimum for a box that size with regular riffles is 40gpm thats 2400 gph. A bilge pump rated for 2000 gph will move 2000gph when sitting in a tub pumping at zero head.
when you run a 2000 gph bilge with a couple feet of hose and a foot or more of head lift...i bet your lucky to get 1500 gph.
I don't like the amount of ater a 3000 gph delivers. ith loerprofile matt or a drop riffle those volumes become more usable. I dont like having to drop the end of a sluice too much to get the material to move.

Goldwasher, Thats what it seemed like was flow just wasnt there thats why I just purchased the 4000gph. I purchased the goldhog mats ant hope that also helps.

Russa I just wanna thank you for your input on cleaning the pump. Its a new pump but I went ahead and checked it like you said and everything looked clean. I hope the 4000gph will help out with the goldhog mats.
