Got out this morning to do a little sluicing, tried a new spot I had been eyeing for quite a while and my first test pan blew my mind. At least 25 specs in the first test pan of the day. That’s great gold for NC! Ran about 5 buckets of material through the sluice and have about a gallon worth of cons to finish panning when I get home. With temps in the low 30’s, 5 buckets of material was about all I could do, couldn’t feel my toes anymore so I decided that was it for the day. Hoping for a good final cleanup!

I'm so jealous that you can get out and sluice in February.
It's so cold up here in NJ...
