is coal a good investment

i just heard that the epa regs. will make 5 coal fired plants shunt down,putting a lot of people out of work. i guss elec. bills will go up higher an higher.the USA is being do in.

Coal is such a dirty way to generate power that they have found the fingerprints of Chinese coal plants on Mt. Rainer in Washington state. The waste gasses can be scrubbed before exhausing though and coal can be used to make liquid fuels that aren't as polluting. Its abundant in the US and we should utilize it more than we do, cleanly of course.

Coal is a waining natural resource and any investment would be in an active producing mine marketing its product.
