Golden Umax

Can the Golden Umax be set to eliminate or discriminate out zinc pennies and still
operate finding nickels, gold, clad and silver? I find the zinc pennies more of a
nuisance than pull tabs.

Yes,set to the wide notch mode. No zinc Pennies.Set in wide notch,nickel some gold hits medium tone,Gold,silver,all other coins,high tone. In the wide notch mode really the only trash that will come in is one type of pull tab,and sometimes a large screw cap will hit on hi tone.I went with the golden Saturday for a walk in the park,hit a mercury Saturday then one Sunday. :-D
