I was just reading that Minelab has a new coil for the CTX that I have never tried.

Instead, I am going to buy a black Vaquero.

My usual dealer said that he doesn't have them, so I ask you Tesoro guys:

Were is the best place to buy a new Vaquero?

I want the 11x8 coil, not sure about the whole tone thing.

Who gives the best deal out there?

Thanks and HH.

Deals will all be about the same because Tesoro controls selling price, and there are many forum dealers here.
But rusty Henry works over there and is also a Tesoro dealer.
If you were wanting the high tone mod done the cheapest is through him. Otherwise you'd have to pay to ship it to them for the mod. But if you order through him he can have it done in house before shipping it to you :-)

I got mine drop shipped to me from Tesoro with a high tone by a dealer in Ga. so you don't have to buy one and ship it back if you want that option.
Buying from Rusty should be as close to the source as you can get, however.

I have to send mine in for the mod. Got it used for a steal. 25th anniversary. Was a well used machine and does have yellowing but still great working condition.
I really like my Bandido II micromax and Cutlass Micromax high pitch audio. The high tone mod won't be quite as high however I want it as close as I can get lol.

Let us know what you choose to do and how the machine works for you!!

I guess that a new Vaq was not in the cards for me, I just picked up a used black Vaq with the 11 x 8 off of fleabay.

Same unit I wanted.

Saved a few bucks and it comes with some killer B's to boot.

I am sure that it will.

I just wanted a beep and dig for those times where my hunts call out for it.

Also, I did need another pair of headphones, so I saved quite a few bucks.

Okay, I guess a new Vaq WAS in the cards for me. I just got the machine, and there is not a mark on it. No signs of use at all.

Same with the KB headphones. They are in terrific shape.

I guess I thrash my stuff, my stuff looks used pretty quickly.

Rusty Henry works over there where? Where is there? Where is his tesoro store on the net?

Tesoro is good with some time. Still dig a lot of trash but you can predict a lot of your digs in the coin range. Good depth for the price.
