Several years ago I started collecting mid-century matte pottery/vases like Haeger and McCoy... not very pricey but I like the shapes and love the matte white and matte black pieces especially. In searching online for matte, white, mid-century vase, you can't help but notice the Rosenthal pieces. Went to GW relatively late in the day, I spied a vase... was it?!?... YES! for $2.97! I picked it up and started turning it over and over looking for chips or cracks. None! Finally, my first Rosenthal. It's the little things! I always take the first of an item as a good omen.

Sorry for lack of details! There will be a Rosenthal mark on the bottom. This isn't a large vase, so value may be in the $35-$50 range. I was more excited because as a collector of mid-century pottery Rosenthal pieces are usually are in the $50-$250 and up range. Nice to pick one up for under $3. They have a variety of materials and styles

I'll have to be on the lookout for those now. Not knowing about them - I would have just walked past it thinking it was some modern IKEA crap.
