Again, i think i am done with this board temporarily. Instead of trying to be nice to me and trying to find out where this venue is I am being harassed as if i committed a crime or lying and i am offended.

You didn't do anything to anyone. People (including myself) gave you honest opinions to your finds. Nothing disrespectful, nothing offensive, nothing but good old constructive criticism from our collective past experiences.

What was the result of the tests on the rings? I’ve bought a few like that too that turned out weren’t gold. We need to share and educate each other to protect us all from bad dealers. We all sincerely hope we are wrong and they are gold.

There are lots of fake gold rings out there, I have one ring I found that is marked 14k, it will not pass any of my gold acid tests.

Your only evidence for these being genuine are an easily faked stamping, someone else who wanted them in an admittedly dark room, and a lady who held them.

While those may be indicators, I’d invest in an acid test kit, or take them to a place that can test electrical conductivity. Those are far more definitive.

Outright avoiding a large knowledge base that wants to share their often hard learned lessons because you think anyone who is skeptical of the item and not you personally is a threat won’t help you in the long run. They might help you avoid a costly mistake.

Real or not? Well, they are very nice looking for sure. A few weeks ago I dug a magnificent man's gold wedding band at a park. Got a couple other things too. When I got it back to the car, and put my stupid glasses on I saw "stainless steel" on the inside of the ring. Bummer. I would test them, maybe a jeweler. They are still very nice looking.

The whole "dim lighting" thing has me confused. The dealer who was selling them has never looked at them anywhere other than at his booth?
