I got this Rotary watch at thrift by my office because it looked vintage and of decent quality (I did not previously hear of Rotary). It was $2.00 and I was hoping for $20-$25. Anyway, the movement inside the watch was used in Breitlings from the same period snd it’s apparently impossible to find in working condition. It’s ESA Y2 900.231

Keep ur eyes out for 25 yr old watches with analog / digital displays and check the movements. Even non-working totally fried ones are bringing $99 as buy it nows on ebay - some dude sold six lol.

Hoping for $250. Another one is listed at $350 but only the analog part works on his. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1530137449.037035.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1530137463.047499.jpg

When I was young I would speculate on everything around me that may be worth big cash as a vintage piece. Never in a million years did I think that battery movements would ever be collectable. (I kept them all anyway) Much to my surprise they are big ching for some now. Check out Omega Electroquartz calibre 1300 I have 3 of these and they are beyond RARE Keep your peeps out for them

Yeah the Swiss have made some interesting quartz movements. I took this picture of the movement in my Tissot world timer when I finally had to put a new battery in.

Been researching them after reading these comments. There are dozens of hot movements. I’ll try to post a list. Very cool
