I stopped by the GW on my way home from work so I could buy a couple pairs of work pants, working with fiberglass mine get ruined quickly. I was browsing the kitchenware isle and saw this platter. Turned it over and found the hard to see 900 mark, couldn't hardly believe it. The date on the tag was from July 25th too, hard to believe it sat on the shelf for 13 days! It felt very heavy when I picked it up. Got it home and weighed it, 482 grams of 90% silver! Oh yeah, the price tag was for $3.99, yellow tag = 50% off, bought for $1.99! 20180809_082840.jpg 20180809_082855.jpg

Awesome find. Please don’t mention stores by name. You don’t want to ruin a good thing.

Good job. I found a silver Peruvian footed bowl a few months ago. Very often these items of silver get overlooked by the inspectors. I also believe silver that isn't marked in the center of the base are missed by those sorting departments very often too. If you have a good hunch it is silver and don't see a mark in the normal spot on the base, look it over real good for those marks placed in the odd locations.

That much silver, that long on the shelf? I'd probably have to stop there every other day for a few months to make sure I got all of it.. ;)

GREAT PICK
