Thanks to a very good TreasureNet.com friend who found this at a refinery i was able to pick up this 1940’s Vacheron & Constantin 18kt gold watch for the melt value! It is actually larger in size than watches from the 1940’a and is a brick at 18g! I can’t believe I finally own one of the big three brands!!! Beyond thrilled! A big thank you to my TreasureNet.com buddy!!! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1592858663.929243.jpg

Any plans on "servicing" it ?

Yes it’s a simple movement and I will service it myself. I can pound out a Bulova movement in about an hour

Looks good!
What are the other two big brands? Besides Rolex and Seiko [emoji23].
