Kind of a strange jewelry find today marked 925 rse

Todays 3 hour beach hunt turned up a half dozen coins and a set (yes a set of two) of earings. They are gold in color but the stamping on the backs is "925 rse", I know 925 usually means silver, could rse mean gold plated? Thanks.
