Went out yesterday with my buddy and walked for MILES across a site loaded w/ frags and shot bullets.. In the pictures.. the lead on the top are all dropped or fired bullets, the big chunk in the center is a piece of a James shell, the pieces on the sides are Parrot.. including two chucks of the nose with the fuse threads visible and some large cannon ball pieces. The two lead round balls at the bottom are lead grape shot. Pretty good day out and some interesting pieces of iron..

HH Everyone!!!

Good hunt. I bet those chunks would sting a bit if they hit you.

Great looking bunch of iron you got there, nice looking CW bullets also. Looks like you found yourself
a great site to hunt for many years.

Thanks! I pretty new to the artty pieces.. just started digging it last year.. all the sites I hunted before were camps of the battle sites produced no good iron.. so I had no idea what the Jame frag was until my buddy saw it.. live and learn!!

If you got frags you should find a complet shell I read somewhere that 1 of 10 rounds fired where duds. you can get them disarmed in Winchester by Harry Ridgeway he did mine.

Keep the good piece's and one's you don't have and sell the other's for some battery money/gas money...I've seen them anywhere from $5-$25 for just the Borman's

If I should be so lucky to get a whole shell.. this place has been hunted for years.. the saving grace is it is huge.. there are still frags scattered all over...

I have the piece of James shell in my electrolysis bath today.. it is already really nice looking. I will post a followup picture once it is done and waxed.
