Went to a small park that I thought I had hunted out 5 years ago. I figured I might get maybe one wheat or a nickel, but I got those and a surprise too! An ugly silver quarter, but I still like it. The buffalo is actually in very nice shape with a nice 1935 date. The wheat is a 1944. The neighboring landowner who I know from years back stopped by too, and I found a property marker stake for him. A good day all around.

Thanks for the nice replys, sorry it took so long for me to respond. Here is the buffalo up close as dug after rinsing with water. Usually they are completely red but this one still has a few tiny shiny spots.

I love the sites that just keep on giving, and giving...
There's a park around here that is like that, hunted it to death, but it always has atleast a wheatie or two...
Good luck & Happy hunting~

That silver quarter will be so much prettier after you get skunked at a new site later. The buffalo nickel still has well raised features. Great Finds!!
