You never respond to these do you?
When I am online, I of course respond to any comments on my finds. @Don: the thickness of the coin is about 2mm.

Due to the many, many denarii found by detectorists during the last 3 or 4 decades, the price for such silver coins has decreased drastically. But the historical value of them can't be paid: thats why i love metal detecting.

And in comparison to other denarii of Antoninus Pius, it is quite scarce:-))

Same thing happened, we had a late ploughed field (none normally) & I got a Roman Silver yesterday as well in 2 hours :o. With only 1 broken bronze roman coin, some fields make no sence. Can't wait to see whats there today.

That is a beautiful coin. Romans are always better than getting Hammered. :)
