Im bored with my yard, so I decided to go
down the road about a mile to detect around
a well where I believe at one time a house
also was, beacause of the flat area around it.
I was digging mostly 1960s and 1970s clad
when all of the sudden someone jumped out
from under the bush about four feet in front
of me and made the scariest noise ive ever
heard and really startled the hell out of me.
I knew it was the end of the line for me, but
thankfully the someone was a humongous
wild turkey, the biggest ive ever seen before.
Along with the clad, which im not including in
my pics I also picked up two mason jar lids
with the porcelain inside of them.
Unfortunately one of the porcelain parts
broke when I dropped it while cleaning it,
but it says on it, for all mason jars, pure
zinc lid.
Happy hunting and thanks for looking,
Allen

I went on an evening horseback ride one nice fall day. it took all of my strength to keep my horse from bolting as a half dozen turkeys came out of the tree they were roosting in. my horse thought a horse eatin critter had just made him dinner.

It is turkey season here in Tennessee....I don't think that a XLT is a legal weapon to harvest your bird with though...lol

Those lids are hard to keep in one piece....It seems that if the zinc part is in good shape then the glass part is broke, or if the glass part is in good shape then the zinc part is broke....

Great story, I also like the Ale8 1 bottle, not many on this form would know what it is. I have not had any Winchester Kentucky swamp water in several years! I guess it's time to make a trip, whenever I go to Kentucky the back end of my truck is stacked with cases, right from the factory in Winchester. Have a bottle for me!

Hey Allen, i didn't know what the heck to think, jumped in Bagdad, surely not. Now if you
were down the road in Shelbyville i could understand it. Glad it was a Turkey. When ever
i hunt the bad lands i pack & so does my partner.
