I was able to do about 1 hour this morning and was rewarded with a first. She was pretty deep too, 7 inches or so. Looks pretty toasted but thats OK. I think I can see 1858 so that is what I will call it ;D

I am off for a few hours to do some chores at my father in laws house and then it is back to "The spot"

Wish me luck, VPR

Here are a couple of cleaned pics. Not much to see, pretty toast. I am not going to bother to clean any more on this one.

Still twitching to get back over to the spot (150 yard walk) so I will check back later.

Tha day is over and I managed one more keeper
1888 Canada Large Cent. This is the second one of these that I have found at this spot. The other was a 1913 last fall.
I am including a shot of the jungle that 1888 came from. Could not have found it without the 4.5" sniper coil.

My new Minelab 705 should be here on tuesday so I am excited to see what other things there are to find here.

good luck with that new minelab, your going to be surprised how much more you find VS the ace. I upgraded from the ace last august and never regretted it one minute, especially when I go back to places I thought I "hunted" with my ace. The xterra 70 found many many targets the ace simply missed.
