Found a Nickel Trifecta today ! ( The V Nickel Says... )

Hello all,

Long day of hunting today, I started off not finding much but later I started finding lots of nickels. I hunted for about 30 min with not much I found another little pocket knife first. Then a buffalo and then another and another then my 2nd V Nickel it was made into a necklace but is in way better shape than my first. It still has the silver hook on it. So after about four hours my last signal was a 1945 P silver War Nickel. Making a 2nd Nickel Trifecta, yesterdays... I did not say anything about but I did have one and then today's.!! Oh and the total was 6 Nickels for today!!

Good stuff MUD. I have never accomplished that feat...and probably never will. I'm just too lazy to dig those low hits.

It says "Joe's" I looked at the V Nickel some more and from what I can tell it says "Joe's" Maybe the store nearbye was named Joe's or something I'll have to ask around....

Nice job! The nickel trifecta is more rare than the dime one, it seems to me.

I have yet to go earlier than 1941 on American nickels, although, ironically, I have a 1928 Canadian one! A buff is on my "goal list" for this year, though....

As for the V having something stamped on it I think it could be. I also think that it could be shapes in clouds that we are seeing. Its hard to tell but maybe...

wow. nice congrats! wish i could have a day like that. i have already found a v and jeffersons in the same area of my yard... not the same day tho, really want to find a buffalo... came close tho with a 1939 jefferson...
