The wife was cooking supper, the kids was
watching cartoons and I needed to detect.
The closest place I could hit without been
late for supper was my old trusty side yard.
This yard has paid off with barber quarters,
a barber dime, numerous wheaties and two
really nice indian heads and bunches of clad.
i can say say the coin I found tonight put all
my other coins look crappy in the condition
department, its only a p mint 1943 war nickle,it
looks like it was dropped the day it was minted.
Thanks for taking a look at my finds, Allen

Always nice to find stuff in your own yard. Those are some great finds. I always hit my yard after a rain, just never know what you're going to find.

Re: quick hunt before dark

Thank you all for the nice comments,
but ive got to add something to this
post.
My father in law brought this to my
attention, this isnt just an ordinary
war nickel, but it is the 1943 over
the 1942 version.
He saw this through a better magnifying
glass that he has.
I'll try to get a
better picture tonight after school.
Thanks for looking and commenting,
Allen
