Followed an old wagon trail today and picked up some stuff....Yeah...the usual stuff...horse shoes and bullets. ;)

But....today I did manage to find a buckle! First buckle I have found back there. I didn't take my shovel, only the little garden digger cause I am tired of hauling it around, and there were some signals that I just couldn't get to. The ground is very dry. So... I will have to go back and see what I left behind! Anyhow it was a beautiful day here and I enjoyed my hunt.

If it weren't for all these horse shoes and bullets...............................I wouldn't have anything to post! :D

Nana ;)

Awesome finds nana!! Do you clean any of the iron relics up? The dremel and crisco method works very well, or you can use steel wool. That buckle is awesome :o

Well, if you're picking up 22 casings then you surely aren't missing much. If you ever run across an old homestead I'm sure you will clean it out.

Hey If you get some rain your luck should improve, I dip my iron relics in polyurethane it retards the rusting. Good luck Nana

Nana,

nice group of artifacts, looks like you did a bit of digging. All good finds.

Always enjoy finding a horseshoe, means things are getting better; nice buckle.

I agree with Jake, clean some of those up and they sometimes look very good.

have a good un...........

Look at the brighter side Nana! You don't need to join a fitness club to maintain your girlish figure because you get so much good exercise digging & hauling all those horse shoes & bullets around.

I'm wondering if in another world there is a group of 10,000 horses using their space age probes trying to find human shoes! ;D

Cool finds Nana!!

Happy Hunting!!

Nice finds Nana! If we don't get some rain around here soon we're going to have to take a jackhammer when we detect. :P
