I found this drift card today while diggin clams in Clarks Cove , So . Bristol , Maine .
I called the 617 number , And , a person answered the phone . It was David Delaney's father . I gave him the location and other info .
I asked him where this card was from - he could not find that specific info at the time , but , he said 2500 were deployed last summer from Marthas Vinyard , Portland Maine , Monhegan Is. , Schoodic Point Maine .
He said one was found in Norway , many in Canada , most from Mass. , Maine , Conn.
40% have been found so far . He said it was part of an invasive crab study his son was doing , mainly the Green Crab , wich is good - they are one of the main predators on the clams I dig !
