I found this at a park today. What is it, play money?
If you can't tell from the pictures:
The date looks like 1948 or 948
It's shaped like a bottle cap
It's thicker than a real penny

Looks like someone made a cast impression of a penny to me, I'll bet that a real penny would fit in it just right.
