Hunted this new spot again today with two of my hunting buddies. I had to work for what I got today but did pretty good. They both did well also netting a couple more indians, a buff and some miscellaneous. First pic is of the coins, the V nickel is an 1891. The second pic is of some miscellaneous relics, a large hem weight, pins (or broaches) and even an old inkwell-type pen. Help me out on the gold-plated pin, is that a scout pin or just a similar design? Thanks for looking.

I also just noticed some writing on the pen...14KT, here is a pic

Very nice finds! Love the older coins and the gold! The pin is indeed a boy scout pin. At least to my knowledge after being a Eagle scout for so many years :)

A great assortment of treasure finds :icon_thumleft:
What is that item to the right of the scout badge in the pic?
It looks like it might be a wax seal :icon_scratch:

the pin is a fleur de lis, not necessarily a boy scout pin. the fleur de lis is french in origin, you see it alot in new orleans and quebec, which have huge french sections in them. enjoy you got great finds.

You might be correct on the wax seal although I haven't personally seen one before. The inside of this had a material similar to wax in it. It was too large to be a lipstick piece.

Thanks for the information. On the back it has a clip and a crosspiece pin but there are no markings on it anywhere. I was thinking Quebec when I first found it.

I couldn't find any other marks on this pen, just what you see in the picture.

Great finds! I would nominate this as a banner find, but I know it would'nt make it as you don't have your nose up Marc or Jeffs butt like Buckle boy does
