Long time no post, here's a few seal matrixes recently found...

Hi all! Been really busy around here lately, renovated a room, mother visiting from Ohio and I’m vacation along with the kids. I have gotten out several times detecting, finding the average relics and coins, nothing too old. Took a friend to a field where a gallows once stood, found some military buttons and coins from the mid 1800s. My friend found this nice seal matrix with a double headed eagle in the coat of arms, initials ICSK at the top divided by a bouquet of flowers. Above the eagle looks to be a bust or head. Possibly dates to the late 1700s to early 1800s.

I found this seal matrix yesterday. Initials LG at the top, a heart crossed by what look like swords. Somewhat crudely made and possibly dates to the mid 1700s. Correct me if I’m wrong, LOL.

The stem or handle. About 1” or 2.5 cm tall.

The stamp. If anyone remembers, I was researching a battle field from 1504. I found it however, after several hours of searching I have not found anything relating to a battle from 1504. I did find some possible burial mounds, unusual mounds in the woods and no, I did not mess with them. Over 1000 people died at this battle so if this is the area then it is probable. HH, Mike

Thanks all! My seal was more accurately dated to the 1600s, a little earlier than I thought. This is my third seal since spring. HH, Mike

Nice Mike, seals are always a great find, something about them that sends a shiver down your spine when you find one. :icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft:
