I'm always happy to find a Gold ring...but this one has been sitting in the wet sand way too long.

I've previously found a 1901 Indian Head penny from the beach so this ring might conceivably be a similar age. It doesn't look modern (to my untrained eyes).

Any ideas on it's age and getting rid of the "freckles" ?

HH Joe

Nice ring, at least somebody is finding gold

The "freckles" are probably from the alloy in it.

Probably a jeweler can polish it. I found a ring with a weird color that the jeweler said wasn't real. He said it was copper. I had him test it, turned out to be 18k. When he polished it, the ring changed color again, more of rose color.
