That has GOT to be a banner!! Believe it or not.....

We've grown weird potatoes and carrots and beets (4 legged carrots, 2 beets that came together and looked like they made a hiney out of themselves, and a potato that had last year's string wrapped in it - we had planted peas there the year before and they were tied to the wire to climb up), but never anything quite that bazaar!!

I've seen roots grow through Chinese and Korean holed coins, and I 've seen coins in a tree root to the point that you almost
couldn't see the coin. And I, like many others, have seen Civil War bullets, lumber jack equipment, etc into and around trees.....but I'll be darned if I've ever seen anything like this Potato Watch. We got any other catagory other than Banner, to put this unthoughtof find into, if it doesn't make Banner? I don't know whether to laugh or ????????????

Cool! 8)

Just like the ring someone here found once, with a root grown through it in a way it almost looked like it was still attached to a finger!

WILD Potato! :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:

I agree BANNER ... I mean WHAT determines value anyway?

If mods don't put it on the banner then maybe have a BIZARO BANNER made?

My closest find like this was a poptop with a root growing through it.

Ha Ha. I say banner also. LOOK...I found a BEER TREE before...Can you guess??? A tree that grew around a beer bottle. NO LIE. The bottle is sticking out of the tree... Next Time I go detecting I will go back and find it. Hopefully no one has busted the bottle.

what a shame that the potato will rot and the effect will eventually be lost! cool find.

Hardy,
That's one of the neatest (and craziest) finds I've seen posted on TN.
Unbelievable!
Thanks for sharing that.
