hello everyone i found these detecting this summer. i thought i would post them. has anybody ever seen cufflinks like these before, if so how old do you think they are. the 1859 indian head looks so much better when holding it. this one don't have that nice patina that makes them so special. is the 1859 the first indian head? thank you everyone. ben & colleen.

thanks for helping me out on this. thats pretty cool that the 1859 is the first indian head made. it must have been made right after the lc. i dont know anything about cufflinks i think they are copper though. thanks everyone, and thank you for the link "tommnj" thats a good link. i put it in my favorites. the detecting is over here in maine, as winter is here. i wish i had one of those waterproof detectors lol. im going through the pennies i found for the year. thanks all. "god bless" ben & colleen.

Nice ole indian!! Actually, you have one cuff link, or possibly a collar link. The shirt cuff had 2 holes,
one for each end of the link to hold them together. Nice finds!

Nice 1859, don't think anybody gave a guesstimate on the age of the cufflinks, I would say late early to mid 1800s, they are beautiful......
