strange silver pendant (update: love token), 1935 buffalo nickel

any thoughts on this pendant or if it was just made into one
Cleaned up the buffalo with some vinegar + salt

Thats what makes them better than a uncirc coin of the same date in my opinion. Its the time & effort & craftmanship which impresses me. Most likely the reverse is the Initials of the one he/she made it for (or a combination of the two/ or his/her own Initials).

With the "83" on the coin, I would speculate that it was a seated dime, turned into
a token in 1883. I like those old love tokens. They can get quite fancy.
