I was Fiend'in for some oldies so I went detectin out in the rain...

Well I got the bug today so I figured to hell with it, I went out to scout a new set of woods for any goodies (It' been raining night and day here in Chicago for a few days now so I took my chances). Well the rain finally slowed to a drizzle so I jumped out of my car and darted to the spot that I wanted to check and first coin was a wheatie then 5 min later my Rosie then 2 more wheaties. I was only out for 30 min tops and got 4 keepers but in that 30min I was drenched so I will definitely be going back as soon as the weather cuts us some slack. I was flying around like a madman so I know I missed some deeper oldies. :laughing7: Oh I also found 2 clad quarters, 2 clad Rosies and 4 zinclons.

Going out I had my rain cover on my detector, a ziploc bag taped over that, another bag taped around the pinpointer housing, and 2 bags taped around my earcuffs. If anybody saw me going in or coming out they probably though I was a literial "Bag Man", oh and as you can imagine I was covered in mud too!!! ;D Hope everybody gets a chance to get out and find some coins. :headbang:

When the bug bites Fiend..there ain't no holding us back. Rain, sleet, snow ain't stopping us. Frozen usually stops me cold though ;D
Nice digs.

WTG TF on braving the elements to overcome an addiction :laughing7: And yes, when the ground freezes it usually stops us. I have dug some frozen crust but there comes a time when you just can't do it anymore

Congrats! I used to wrap my BH in a ziplock bag, but have been more Careful w/ my SE in the
rain, don't trust the rain/dust cover, but maybe a ziplock bag too.......

Good luck,
HH.
