Drive by this place all the time, it was demolished over a year ago to make room for new development but because of the economy it just sits there with nothing going on.
I asked the Security guard if I could go in, he said no problem. I spent about an hour on the first five pads and quickly realized I had the wrong coil on my Explorer, plan to go back soon with a 6" coil. I was able to pull out over $2 in clad coins a 1964 quarter and a 1917 half dollar plus small silver charm and miscellaneous items shown in pictures. Anyone know what the marble shaped item is?

Looks like that coil was doing pretty good to me, nice finds

HH Charlie

Yes the coil was fine, 15" WOT" that I use at the beach, just to much junk. I was having a hard time because all the junk around the area, to many targets on top of each other. I am spoiled spend most of my time at the beach digging in the sand, not use to hard soil.

We have quite a few of those 'torn down and waiting' Mobile Home parks here.... and they are hard to hunt because of the junk. A friend of mine swears that throgh the years the trailers themselves eroded into the ground and created one big 'hot rock', not sure about that but when you hunt one be ready to dig and dig and dig some more.

The small ball thingy looks like a christmas tree ornament. Imagine the open part with the little hook part in it.

Thanks for the idea but the thing is solid metal of some kind? It may have broke off something?
