Went back for a short hunt this morning at the old hotel site... this is the site that was recently mowed to eliminate the pesky brush, and has been producing the last month or so. Unfortunately BedfordBob and DeArmittPA were unable to join in on the fun. :( Hopefully next time! :headbang:

Found the 1862 Indian at 9"deep. This is the deepest coin found so far by me with this Etrac. Was pleasantly surprised at how clear it would ring at that depth. ;D

And the other two buttons - was nice to see some gold still on them... :hello2:

Thanks for looking!

Dude You need to rest. Leave something for the rest of us. :D Good job and yes the lemon juice does work well. just don't leave anything in it to long.

look good, best using on these types only. Don't use on pewter for example :icon_thumright:

Yeah Crusaders right. It's best not to use it one pewter. I use it on copperad brass buttons 1, 2,& 3 piece types. Also if they have green crud that is hard to get off instead of leaving them in the lemon juice to long I soak them in olive oil. It does take a while but won't hurt the relic. Some people use aluminum jelly but I've never tried that. Hope you get some more good stuff from that site.

Cool - may try that on a few other buttons we've gathered up from this site. Thank you for the tips!
