Dec. 5th Finds! Old school field dates back to 1850's Hunt 53

I went back to the old school field again in hopes of finding a coin that I havent pulled before. The first time I went, I found my first buffalo nickel a 1935. I went out about 1:00 yesterday and dug for a while. Found some war nickels, more buffalo's and right before I hung it all up I hit a signal that was moving up to a 84 +85. That is usually a quarter on my detector. So I dug it and to my surprise.. My first V nickel!! 1902!! Awesome day!! Thank you Whites for the best detectors you can buy!!!

Well done in the nickel department! That V rang up as a quarter? Did you rescan the hole after you found the V nickel? I've had that happen to me multiple times and there were more coins in the hole.

I was looking at the "Something" and to me it looks like a top of a compact. The part that is broke off could have been where the hing was. Just a thought. Nice find.
