S.M.A.R.T.S That's what we call it. :)
I met with with my "Club brothers" In the Great state of Tennessee for a fun filled day of brier dodging and Civil war relic searching. :icon_thumleft:

As usual, we had a great time in the amazing Tennessee Mountains finding some really decent relics.
Our digging partner, Guy L. Put us right on the spot of an old CW camp where we spent the day hanging out, and sharing the nice cool weather. I'm proud to be a part of this team. My partners are intelligent and do their homework!
Thanks again Guy (Tnrelicman) for another good hunt.
Here's a photo of my "bonus" of our excellent day relics dug.

Mike,
The trip was well worth it. Nice job on the CW relics. It amazes me how often those small oval pieces pieces (mystery piece) show up in CW spots. I can't remember if those have been ID'd here on TN or not. :dontknow:
Congrats,
Doug
What get's me is the sexy little garter belt clip.
Now that's a thought.
Grown men in garter belts slinging large chunks of lead at each other. :D

I think he was carrying a memory of a happier time and perhaps the clip reminded him of it? Great digs looks like you guys did well. If I could ever get away from the artifacts,, ohh did find these just laying there shot it with a gps and will go back and beep it. Glad all is well : )

That is one cool picture washed out bullets. I would have ran home to get my detector.
I find a few in the mountains around here.

Now that is cool Richard.
Guy and I were just talking about a man in Lenoir City that used to relic hunt out there. He would go out after a rain storm when he was a kid and pluck the lead from the top of the ground.
He has several 5 gallon buckets full of em.
