Counterfeit LC
Found at the same place I found the 1885 CFT. Dollar. This makes 2 LC's, A 1/2 Dollar, and a Dollar in my Counterfeit collection . Can't get a date off this one as you can see.
1783 CFT. KG III 1/2 Penny (25-83A)-1 of 3 known *Sold $3,750, Vermont Landscape Coppers Ryder 6 *Sold $760, Ryder7 (Avatar)** Sold $1,275*,1st Batt Royal Artillery Cartridge Box Sling Belt Tip,(3)- GW Inaugural Buttons-2-Cobb# 17-J.* Sold both--$405 and $400. *GW Button Cobb 17-I-*Sold $316- New Jersey Copper M14-J Sold $125- Continental Army Button *Sold $800.....To be continued

Nice, Hogge.
Any counterfeit is cool, often-times cooler than the real version, and it's nice when they're not a soggy pewter sandwich.

I would LOVE to find a counterfeit Large Cent !!
Can you imagine life being so hard that you have to counterfeit one cent coins.
Now one of these are on my wish list

I agree on some finds they have more character then the real deal if you stop and think about them

The iron looking spots are actually dirt. Haven't quite cleaned it totally. Is either pewter or tin in metal. Is lighter than an LC.
