I stopped by a city park this morning just to cross it off my list and found this 1954 Franklin half.? It was almost on the surface.? It probably came out of someone's collection as I can't imagine it laid there for 50 years.? I wish more kids would get into their dad's collections!

excellent find.... my guess is that some one carried it around as a lucky piece... there is an old homestead that I hunt where the resident carries a silver dollar around as such. It is completely worn down and looks like a large silver slug. HH dave
