Got a call today from the local detector shop - a guy in Dallas lost his gold ring during some yard work. So, needing a strong fix I headed over to his house. Was there about 10 minutes and Bam !!! there it was 4 inches down in the dirt next to the garage up against the foundation. Lots of smiles and happy faces all around. Made my day and his and his wife. Been a while since I've been able to help out someone. Felt good to do the good deed !!! Only bad part of all this..didn't have the digital to get a shot or two of the ring. 18K white gold band. Nonetheless, made my day. Hope everyone did well out there !!!!

Re: Finally broke through the slump !!!

Congrats on finding the ring. Did you get to detect the rest of the yard?

No unfortunately, he and his wife were on the way out when I was leaving.
