hey yall, im back. I recently got permission to hunt an old vfw. WOW Indians out the a$$!!! Found 5 indian head pennies, 1859, 1868, 1882 and 1883, and the best one is the 1864 civil war indian, and yes, it does have the L!!! Best thing about these are they are in really really great shape. i also found an 1844 LC and 1803 half cent. No silver, hmmm The 1864 indian has a super nice petina on it and looks like it just came out of the mint, no scratches, no wear and the L really stands out. Thanks for looking, Greg

Yes that sure is a nice one, try the macro setting with no flash, thats how I did my avatar one (no L on mine :'( )

Thanks guys, im trying to get a better pic of the L on the 64. I didnt know there was a difference till i got home and researched it. ;D

that 1864-L is amazing! and the "L" is clear as a bell, I can't believe people cannot see it! I have a red arrow pointing right to it! :hello2:

I knew where to look but it's still hard to tell if it is a L or corrosion... pretty sure it is the L..but not 100% commented to that
