It's true.

I was hunting a park today for a couple of hours and I was feeling beat from the heat and totally annoyed at the 100+ teenagers running around, playing a game (I was there first), so I moved to another part of the park and hunted for probably an hour or so. I was drenched and wasn't really finding much so I walked back to where my bag was next to a big tree. Before I call it quits for the day, I usually dig one last good signal so I figured I'd do just that. I looked at the ground next to my bag and saw 3 condom wrappers and I thought 'someone had a good time', then I thought hell, they might have dropped something during their roll in the hay... Just as I was about to start swinging the detector, I looked down and saw a ring :o. I sat ther for a second in amazement, then grabbed it. I saw that it had a stamp on the inside and there were glittering stones on it but I just dropped it in my pocket knowing that I'd look at it when I got home.

When I got home I looked at the ring through a loupe and saw a 10K stamp on it. There's also 5 stones but I have no clue if these are diamonds or not??? I will definitely be bringing this to a jeweler on monday for confirmation.

Update: The diamonds are real

Total ground score... Made my day

Heck yeah those are diamonds! They are small, so no doubt they are real.

You called it!

On this one, I'm gonna have to be the glass is half full kinda guy.
Due to the fact it's a 10k gold ring, I would be extremely surprised
if they were real diamonds, regardless of the size of the stones. But,
real or not, it's a very nice ring.

I guess in this case the glass was full. Maybe it was only a shot glass, but full nonetheless ;D

Nice ring.

I take close up pics by putting a jewelers 10X loupe in front of my camera lens , NO FLASH. Or you can use a magnify glass too..

Nice trick. It worked for me and I updated the pics. Thanks
