I hunted today in the waistdeep low tide with the Excalibur and found a small cut[''low spot or small drop off''] and there was a 44 quarter 43 P nickle 51 nickle 4? dime. I am pretty sure i now have the ''sounds'' of the Excal worked out to find the deep goodies.I changed over from the Fisher cz20 and that was a big change, like Sandman said'' sounds like a strangled Duck''.........Stevefisher

Congrats on the finds and figuring out the Excal.

I went from a Fisher 1280X to a Excal plus my land machine is a White's DFX so talk about a learning curve. My last trip to the beach which was back in April I finally started to understand the Excal. Was able to find some musket balls and a silver Spanish Cob down in the outer banks.

Good luck on future hunts.

Hi

Like what you did in the dip...I still be hunting one here.

Did the same trip as well from a 1280 to the Excal....learning curve perhaps though regrets none!
