CELLAR HOLE WITH GARY*2 CENTER & SILVER

gary(foundation hunter) picked me up at 8 am and headed to 2 new holes i found.i got a decent 1864 2 cent piece.the worn coin is holed and definately silver.just no clue what it is? same diameter as a US dime(seated dime in pic for reference) and worn beyond recognition :-\
probably a draped bust dime with my luck maybe a half reale? i don't know.
i guess i will never know :dontknow:

Great picks as usual HMN. Great finds too. I was going to hit a cellar hole today myself, but it was a long walk in the hot sun so I passed it up for the old swimming hole. Maybe Sunday. :icon_thumright:

My money would be on the half real. It looks slightly smaller in diameter than the seated dime next to it. Can you make out any of the letters on the less-worn side? That coin was definitely in circulation for a very long time!
Here is a worn out half real I found earlier in the year, with a large cent for reference.

silver. I found a half reale earlier this year that was barely identifiable.... :-\ But hey, you found some

That 2 center came out nice, probably because it was in the woods. The ones I have found have always been in bad shape. Nice digs! :thumbsup:
