On call this week so I had to go in for a couple alarm's,on the way back I stopped at the State Park where I do my antler shed hunting. There's an old bottle dump back in the wood's that would make "SHERM" do back flip's.This thing is over 100 yds. long and 50 yds. wide and they are literally stacked one upon another.I piled at least a dozen or so pile's of bottle's here and there to retrieve later.I grabbed the closest pile to the road and planning to get the rest later. Also found some old glass insulator's I guess, pile's of them too.Just got finished cleaning these thing's up so I don't know what I have yet. This place is unbelievable if your into old bottle's,just can't explain it,thousand's of them, old milk bottle's,1/2 gallon, gallon jug's,old 1/2 gallon clorox bottle's.I can go on forever, like I said, unbelievable bottle dump. Here's a couple pic's of the pile I took today along with the "insulator's".Thank's for looking and HH!!

Man, I have to put my two cents in here! If it were me (and it's not :'(), I would put my detector down and spend every minute I could at this site, and EBay or yard sale the hell outta those. You've hit the mother load!! Gosh, I would almost make a trip there if I could! Congratulations and those bottles are gorgeous! Great cleaning job too!

Happy Bottle Hunting!!

Civil,

WOW.

Looks like you got the spot, glad for you. IT HURTS
JUST A BIT knowing of those types of locations.

Any idea yet what time period your dealing with?
Any other junk, trash, around to date it?

On some of those big dumps, I've found that a
farmer will start the dump and when he moves
on others will dump their bottles, trash.

If you dig down as deep as it will go you may
find even better aged bottles. Got to find where
the farmer started the dump.

Good luck,
envious, but glad for you.

have a good un...........

I think this is called the "big daddy" lode, the design's on some of these bottle's are pretty cool.Like I said,it's unbelievable of the amount of bottle's there. It will probably take a day to get them all out,and I wasn't even really looking yet.I can't even explain it,I tried taking pic's but the place is so big it doesn't do it justice.Keep ya posted.HH!!

Civilman,

:o :o WOW! :o :o
Those are some awsome bottles. LOVE the one in the second pic? could that be a maple syrup bottle, ya think?

And 6 insulators in one day......how cool is THAT ???
I'd spend the summer gathering them up to eBay, for sure!
Bring some bubble wrap when you go back.
Keep eyes wide for skull+crossbone poison bottles.............big bucks.
I'd say good luck....but me thinks it already found you ;)

Hey Sherm, can't really put a finger on the time period, but when I dug one bottle there was another underneath. It's pretty scary trying to walk over this area, nothing but glass. The majority of the bottle's are still intact, don't know what the one's below look like. You would have thought you died and gone to "bottle heaven".Pretty neat lookin' bottle's,surprised they ARE there....HH!!
