Hello all,
Made some nice finds today, Got another Crumpton A Button,(from a totally different site than my first 2) Found exactly as shown.
A silver cover from womens face cream tub.
A vintage Movado wristwatch, says both .935 and sterling ?looks to be a day/date.
Am able to date & id most watches by serial #, I can't seem to find this info for movado. founded 1888, They changed their name to movado in the '20s, I believe, so it is after that. any watch collectors seen one like it? movement #4222559
A fragment of early pocketknife, Love this piece !
A glue tube 'puncturer?, Dennison adhesives/dennison paste,
found a Dennison Co. dealing in glue, est. 1844.
And a tin 'Tootsie Toy' train fragment, with lug for attaching your other trains.
Had a great hunt, Thanks for looking! HH, Herbie.

The pewter piece seems to be a lid with the sides missing, probably to a ladies vanity set (like a cream pot)

Thank You for the help in dating this watch, & your help with my lamp burner.
I have been able to date all of my other antique pocket & wristwatches by movement #s on various collectors sites.
There seems to be a lack of Movado information online.
Good Day & HH to all, Herbie.

Dennisons adhesives History 1844+

Aaron Dennison of Brunswick, Maine, started a business making boxes in his home in 1844 for local jewelers and watchmakers.(3) Eliphalet Dennison, Aaron's brother, took over management of the enterprise in 1849 and began to produce more goods for jewelers. These included cards for holding and displaying merchandise, fine cotton, tissue paper, and tags for repair claim and price tickets. Eliphalet bought the business in 1855 and opened a box factory outside Boston. He also purchased an agency that imported shipping tags from London and soon began manufacturing tags domestically in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Dennison's expanding production outgrew the Roxbury factory, and in 1897 the company moved to Framingham to secure larger facilities and access to a railroad siding. There, the company centralized all production, selling, and administrative operations. In 1863, Eliphalet formed a partnership in order to raise additional funds under the name of Dennison and Company. Not long thereafter, capitalizing on the success of the tagging operations, Dennison and Company began to produce additional lines of goods, including gummed labels, seals, and sealing wax for jewelers and stationers; for the home market, the company made paper napkins, colored tissue papers and, in 1890, crepe paper.

The firm's manufacturing processes included both continuous process and batch production.(4) Dennison produced blank tags, crepe paper, glue, and other goods in bulk. A sizable traveling sales force and extensive advertising in newspapers and magazines generated orders from large and small firms throughout the United States and in overseas markets as well. The company sold boxes, tags, labels, and seals customized by color, company name, and design. Many orders were therefore unique and required small batch runs

Good Day & HH to all, Herbie.

Your welcome Herbie, I'm no expert on watches, though I do own two Movado's.
Anytime you need help to ID any kind of lamps parts, all you need to do is ask.

Happy Hunting Herbie,
Dave

Nice finds! The button looks like it should clean up nicely. I hope to see a photo "post cleaning".

Take care,
