PeeWee Scout camp finds - Ohio

Got together with about 20 other DFX users this last weekend at a boyscout camp near Wooster, Ohio. Nate and I did ok. I found a merc and rosie and Nate found a merc and the silver quarter. He also found 13 of the 19 wheats. I spent a lot of time initially at the cellar hole digging relics. Was going for that home run but struck out. The main activities area was the hot spot. Once the word got out on the hotspots they got hit hard. Was fun to met other people and go hunting with them. Finds were fairly well distributed amongst the group.

Very cool,
I like the silver of course,
and that scout whistle.
I can just imagine the troup leader
whistling everyone to attention.
Being a rustic type of activity
the boys normally don't bring
a lot of loot with them I guess.
Great finds anyway.

Nice job....Gotta love those scout camps! There a nice break from the old cellar holes and the research in finding them.....Thanks for posting! Plus never did get down to the Allegeney county weekender we had planned! Just to much work oging on right now ! WTG Will keep touch !

Was this scout camp in Jeromesville? If so I was a Scout there in the late 70's. We would camp every other weekend all year.


Nice finds. Some of that stuff could be mine!

Check the Boy Scout neckerchief slide, the thing next to the whistle. Some were made of silver. Nice finds.
