Nice silver Your "What's it" looks like an electrical converter. the markings around the M would indicate 10 Amp 185 Volts & 5 Amp 250 Volts. the switch on the side would have probably been use to select the voltage for something. I'm pretty confident that it's electrical related.

I had two wheats in my bag today '26 and '36..........that was the highlight of my take for the day!!

I believe your "what is it" item is probably an electrical switch that would be mounted on a cord... probably to a lamp.

Nice silver finds.

Hi Jeff!

It's pretty rare that I can identify something, but I can tell you almost for certain that your mystery electrical item is part of a cord to a circa 1905-1925 small appliance. I've been dealing in vintage small appliances for many years, and many of the earliest small appliances had that type of switch in line with the power cord. That switch would have been how you turned the appliance on or off. I see that type of switch most often on waffle irons, but I've also seen them on early coffee makers and toasters. I would say almost certainly one of those three.

It was laying on top of
a round heavy piece
of trash. with a smaller piece connected by wire.
Didn't post cause it was just heavy trash



I'm going to guess a Base to a coffee pot or ?
to keep it standing upright. there was more in the hole
but I was already down to my Wrist in gravel.

would probably be Bakelite then ?

Minie Ball....for those who like to read a little extra history,

it is slightly deformed

and found in an area where it was
either a Souvinear or fired
but definately not during a civil war battle.

was deep enough to be that old or older
but have also pulled mems out very deep.

From what I Can tell
in 1875 it was Planned Lots
had a street or proposed street going west and east through the center,
and may have had a street run through its east end

The switch part would be bakelite, yes. Dunno what that other stuff you pulled out would be. Most of the appliances I pick up are in slightly better condition.
